Speak to your mind like you mean it…
For far too long we believed that we don’t have enough time to live a well-rounded life. We believe and have been made to believe that life is too busy and we don’t have enough hours in a day to work on all areas of our lives and become the next best versions of ourselves in those areas.
So we settled for mediocrity. We put a few areas as priorities and neglected the others.
“I am so busy with the kids, I don’t have time to work out.”
“I am working and then have all my responsibilities at home, I don’t have time to read books.”
“I don’t have the time to do the shopping and then prepare healthy meals at home.”
“I don’t have time to get enough sleep.”
I don’t, I don’t, I don’t….
It’s time we say: “I can.”
It’s time we say: “I will, insha Allah.”
Sister, do you think Allah(swt) wants you to work on a few areas of your life and neglect the others? Allah(swt) made you whole and He gave you and me the capability to thrive in all areas. He gave us so many different roles in life and gave us the ability to make progress in each one of them. If this sounds impossible, how is it that there are people who ARE able to thrive in all areas of their life? Step out of that limiting belief that you don’t have enough time. Or that you are not good enough. Or that that’s not for you. These kind of beliefs have held you back way too long and now it’s enough.
Enter a new phase of your life where you will transform and move the WHOLE train forward. You might feel intimidated. It’s normal. You have had this belief for so long and now all of a sudden you want your mind to believe something else.
It’s ok if the train is moving slowly. It’s ok if progress is very slow. There is no judgment. Allah(swt) does not want perfection from us. Only steady, positive effort. As long as the train is moving, you are on the right track.
The only thing that is stopping you from moving that train forward are your limiting thoughts and beliefs. Let’s put an end to them.
Tell your mind that it IS possible to live a life of progress in all areas of your life. And tell it confidently. Like you mean it and believe it!
Write down which areas are important to you and create a plan on how you want to reach your goal.
And then execute. Steady, positive effort. And TRUST….. Trust that there will come a day, six months from now, a year from now, where you’ll look back and see that the whole train has moved forward! That feeling, sis…. I can’t wait for you to experience that!
